Pawfect....

Hi crafters! Simply Monica here sharing my next post for Crafty Doodle Chick.  Today I am sharing my card that I created with My Favorite Things "New Best Friend". I laugh as I write this because I have two furry best friends and one is here tearing up my exercise weights I think she feels like something is underneath the rubber lol.  Just gotta love them right?!!

Anyhoo on to my post so to start I used some Distress Oxide inks for the background with the MFT Sun Ray stencil.  I decided to use colors that complimented her dress.  To stamp the image I used MFT Extreme Black Hybrid ink on some blending paper and colored my furry friends with copic pens.  Her dress is simply paper pieced with a sheet of paper from the MFT Plaid Pattern collection.
Dog: E30, E31, E33, E37
Cat: T0, T1, T3
Girl Skin: E000, E00, E11, E23, R02
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E6, E29
The bottom of my card is actually Lawn Fawn Cloudy Hillside Popup die I simply used it as a border.  Then finished it off with my sentiment. I hope everyone enjoyed my post for today and be sure to stop by the CDC store to see the new goodies in store and if there is something your looking for or have questions on feel free to leave us a message on the CDC Facebook page here: http://bit.ly/2F2HtzG

Neat & Tangled Eggstra Special Easter Treat

Hello there, Larisa here sharing a sweet little Easter treat!  For this project, I used the adorable Neat & Tangled set called Eggstra Special.  I just love that you can use the accessories to create a boy and a girl chick!  So versatile!

https://craftydoodlechick.com/collections/neat-tangled-1

For my project, I kept things pretty simple.  First, I stamped out my images, colored them up using Copic markers, and cut them out using my Scan N Cut 2.  Then I created the little paper basket with a die that I had in my stash.  Then I arranged my chicks and egg on the front and finished it off with a paper bow.  The little basket can hold some sweet Easter treats!

Be sure to stop by the Crafty Doodle Chick shop where you can find this stamp and others!  Have a great day!

Birthday Wishes

Hello Crafty Doodle Chick Friends!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards to share a cute card with you!!

I used the fun Birthday Balloon stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps!!  Along with it's coordinating Birthday Balloon Die!!

I started by creating my main card base, blueish cardstock layer and then a white cardstock layer slightly smaller.  I used my circle dies to die cut a circle from the white layer.  At first I was going to make a shaker card with the balloons, but then another idea came in to mind!!

I stamped the 'birthday' and 'wishes' sentiment in black ink near the bottom of the white layer.  I then stamped the little swirly images in the stamp set in different colors to look like confetti falling!!   I really like how it looks!!
I then had some fun stamping the balloons!  I used one color for each balloon, I let each layer dry before adding the next layer.  I decided to use more masculine colors as I never really have masculine Birthday cards on hand.  You could also use different shades of ink color to create the balloons if you'd like!

I then die cut each of the balloons out and started arranging them the way I would like.  I placed a piece of  pattern paper behind in the die cut opening and gently marked where my balloons would be.  So that I could stamp the balloon strings!!  Once they were stamped I adhered the pattern paper behind the opening of my confetti stamped layer.  I then adhere the layers to my blueish cardstock layer!

I then once again arrangement my balloons!  The front two I placed using pop-dots behind to add some dimension!!
I finished off the card by adding some sequins!!

Love it!  Such a fun birthday card!!

Birthday Wishes

Hey, everyone! Kevin back with another birthday card using the latest and greatest Birdie Brown from MFT. Check it out-

I started by creating the background of my card. Some Distress Inks in greens and yellows worked perfect for creating a plethora of celebratory balloons behind the focal images. The stacked chicks from Birthday Chicks and the balloon image are taking center stage this week. I stamped, Copic colored, and cut them out before popping them up with foam tape. I used a grey Copic to add some shadow and grounding to the scene, too, but its not showing up in the photo. The MFT Linked Chain Oval Frames worked perfectly to showcase the little scene. I thought there needed to be some more color so I grabbed a gingham paper from MFT and adhered it to the card base. A few clear sequins finished it off along with a sentiment from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!!

Let's Pretend...

Hello friends!  It's Lisa, and TGIF!!!  I tell you my days are flying, but sometimes it just feels good to know it's a Friday.  Today I have a fun Birthday card to share with all of you that uses a mix of My Favorite Things and Sunny Studio Stamps again.  Since I went masculine with these two companies in last weeks post I decided to go girly this week...

Don't these balloons look amazing?!  I LOVE multi-step stamps and these balloons from the Birthday Balloon Stamp Set and Dies by Sunny Studio Stamps are awesome, and easy to use.  Once they were all stamped and cut out I started working on a panel to put them onto.  The new MFT Anything But Basic Birthday Wishes has some of the most unique Birthday greetings that I've seen in a while, and I couldn't wait to give them some love.  I stamped two sentiments that worked together, one in the top left corner and one in the bottom right.  I then layered my balloons, by popping some up with foam adhesive.  For strings I simply drew them on, added my panel to patterned paper and a few sequins finished the whole thing off.

I have to apologize that I did not realize these products are sold out, they are pretty amazing so I don't blame them for selling fast, but never fear you can add your name to the email list and you'll be notified as soon as they are back in! YAY!  Then you can join the rest of us cool kids with our cool kid stamps, lol!  And while you are there check out all of the new goodies that just came in!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Happy Crafting!

You Are All Kinds Of Awesome

Happy Thursday, y'all! I'm here with Crafty Doodle Chick today with a super simple technique rather than a card design to create a colorful background with no time and effort at all. So let's dive right in.

So for the background, I used several mini distress ink cubes to striping across the whole panel horizontally to create a striping background. This took me less than 5 mins. So it would be a perfect technique to do some mass-producing. You can use almost whatever color scheme you prefer. This can also be done with bigger ink pads and even pigment ink.

The rest of the card is very simple cuz I want to mainly focus on the background technique. I die cut the word YOU using My Favorite Things LOVE YOU die with some white cardstock and also silver glitter cardstock and adhere them together. I also white heat-embossed the sentiment ARE ALL KINDS OF AWESOME from Neat & Tangled So Many Sentiments on a piece of black cardstock, and then using the strip die from the My Favorite Things Hearts in a Row - Horizontal cut the sentiment out. This die makes it so much easier to get the sentiment strip straight.

Adhere them all down on my card panel and add some sequins match the color scheme. Then this card is finished. It literally took me less than 20 mins which is really nice. Hope you give it a try!

Thank you for joining me today. Below I have all the main products I used listed. You can find them at Crafty Doodle Chick online store. And don't forget to subscribe to the newsletters to receive promotions, sales, pre-orders, etc. I will see you again next week. Happy Crafting!

Mesmerizing Mandala Mother's Day

Hi! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day and are all ready to make cards with a different theme. Easter is coming up quickly, but so is Mother's Day in the UK. Just to confuse me, Mother's Day in the UK is March 11th - always earlier than the US and something I always have to be organized for!

One of my favorite brands of products at the Crafty Doodle Chick Store are My Favorite Things (appropriate name right?!).
I have been overloading on Jennifer McGuire YouTube videos recently, and saw this design. I thought it would work perfectly for one of my Mother's Day cards. Here is the link:

I started off by adding a heat embossed background design to the pink cardstock from my stash. I used the dots from MFT's Chill Wishes stamp set. I stamped these using Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed it with transparent embossing powder. I love the tone-on-tone look that you get by doing this.

I then die cut MFT's Mesmerizing Mandala die-namic from white cardstock and adhered this onto the pink background. I cut a strip off the left hand side of the pink cardstock, cutting around the mandala die cut so that you would still end up with the pink behind the die cut. I then added a thin strip of white down the left to add a little more interest (also copying the video!!)

I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Anything-but-Basic Birthday Wishes stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. I used this ink so that it would still be a little wet afterwards, and then heat embossed it with transparent embossing powder to git it a little shine. I then die cut the banner using MFT Blueprints #27.

The heart was die cut from MFT Blueprints #27 using the same cardstock as the rest of the card. I added some wink of stella to the top to give it some glitter. The banner and heart were popped up on foam dots.

You'll find these products in the Crafty Doodle Chick store:

Hello in Dinosaur

Hello Crafty Doodle Chick Friends!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards to share a cute card with you!!

As many of you may have learned I absolutely LOVE the Rawr stamp set from Lawn Fawn!!  As well as the coordinating Rawr die cut!!

Sad Valentine's Day is past, but still think this super cute set can be used in so many different ways!

I paired it up with the fun Monster Squad stamp set from Jane's Doodles!!

I started by creating my card base, then cut another piece of white cardstock slightly smaller.  I first stamped the 'hello' from the Monster Squad stamp set!  Then added the 'Rawr means' and 'in dinosuar' from the Rawr stamp set!
I then stamped the fun arrows from the Monster Squad stamp set in different ink colors to point to the sentiment!!  I love the fun design!

The 'rawr' speech bubble was then stamped on my card layer.  I then stamped the dino and colored with my Copics.  After coloring I die cut the cutie out and added to my base layer using foam dots!

I used foam tape to pop up the layer from my card base.

I finished off the card by adding some enamel dots!!

So fun to create for a child!  Or even an adult!!

Be sure to check out all the lovely products the Crafty Doodle Chick shop carries!!

Happy Birthday, Chickie

Hi guys! Kevin back again, sharing a super colorful birthday card! I absolutely love the new little chickies from MFT. So when a friend needed a birthday card for her sister I just had to use them! Check it out-

I started by doing some fun stenciling. I used the Balloon Duo stencil from Neat & Tangled paired with Distress Inks to create a colorful backdrop on my card. I also added some "ground" with a simple mask and ink blending. Then I grabbed the cutest little images ever from MFT's BB Birthday Chicks. I Copic colored them and popped them up on the card. I heat embossed/ die cut combo made for a fun sentiment. And that completed the card!

This is probably one of most favorite cards I have made recently. Probably because it's the first one of many to come using those birds. I just can't get over how cute and round they are! I just want to pinch and shake them! Okay, that's it for me today, have a great weekend!!!

A Home Run

Hello!  It's Lisa here today and I've decided to make a card for the guys... and it's sooooo hard!  I don't know why, but I usually struggle with making masculine type cards, well I take it back I do know why I love all things sparkly and pink! haha!  But with a son, several nephews, dads, brothers, hubby and so on I know they guys in my life need a little card love too.  When I came across the Sunny Studios Team Player Set I knew it would be perfect for so many occasions where my boys are concerned.

For todays card I also went with a stamped background in blue, using the My Favorite Things BG Marble Background Stamp.  While this set is currently sold out you can sign up to receive an email when this product is back in stock.

Once the background was done I stamped and colored in part of my sentiment, my baseball and bat.  I trimmed everything and adhered it to my cardbase.  Finally, I stamped and embossed the first half of my sentiment onto black cardstock.  I then added a few star sequins to finish the project off.

And as a side note you can find some great deals in the store on the Dreamerland Crafts products.  So much cuteness and 25% off too!!!  And check out all of the new Sunny Studio Stamp goodies too!
Happy Crafting!

Neat & Tangled Love That We Are Friends

Hello y'all Crafty Doodle Chick followers. It's Siqi here with a love & friendship theme card featuring some new products from Neat & Tangled. I really like this Geometric Circles Cover Plate die. The sky is the limit for this, but today I decide to do some ink-blending and use the positive piece of this die to make a love & friendship theme card.

I first use several distress ink to do some ink-blending on a piece of cardstock. Then I use the Neat & Tangled Geometric Circles Cover Plate die to die cut it. Here I highly recommend to same all the little negative pieces for another card. Today I only used the positive piece for this card. I cut some foam tape to put behind the die-cut panel and adhere it on a top-folding A2 size notecard.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word Love with the Neat & Tangled LOVE NOTES die set out of some white cardstock 4 times and adhere them together. I also white heat-embossed the sub-sentiment THAT WE ARE FRIENDS from the Neat & Tangled LOVE NOTES stamp set on a thin strip of black cardstock, and then cut both ends diagonally.

To put together the card, I die cut a heart with some vellum. Adhere the sentiment strip on the vellum heart with the "Love" word die-cut. Then adhere the vellum heart onto the ink-blended panel.

To finish it off, I added some clear sparkling sequins here and there to add some shine.

Thank you for joining me today. Below I have all the main products I used listed. You can find them at Crafty Doodle Chick online store. And don't forget to subscribe to the newsletters to receive promotions, sales, pre-orders, etc. Hope to see you again very soon. Have a great week!

Beach Day by Neat & Tangled

Hi, Larisa here sharing a sweet card made with Beach Day by Neat & Tangled.  Too early for summer cards?  I think not.  It's been pretty chilly here in Texas and I, for one, am ready for some warmer temperatures.  For now, I'll have to settle for a "fun in the sun" card to warm me up!

https://craftydoodlechick.com/collections/neat-tangled-1/products/beach-day

For my card, I decided to make a fun little beach scene using various dies.  I cut out all my pieces and layered them together.  Then I colored up my images using Copic markers and cut them out with my Scan N Cut 2.  I arranged them on the front and popped them on using foam tape.  A there you have it, a fairly simple scene card!
