Oh Gnome You Di'in't

Hey guys! Yes, I am still obsessing over these gnomes and I do not predict it stopping anytime soon. I created a super fun and sassy card to share today. Check it out-

I used the Oh Gnome You Di'in't set from Stamping Bella as my main image. I Copic colored it then layered it onto a gray panel that I used some texture paste on with a stencil. This added some sweet texture but still kept it simple. I don't like too many things going on, so this was a bit of a stretch for my CAS style. BUT I LOVE IT! Then some matte sprinkles from Doodle Bug and striped wash finished this card off.

I seriously love this card and can't stop feeling the texture on it whenever I see it. Do you guys experiment with stencils? I want to a lot more! Ideas?! See you next time! Have a great Easter!!!!

I Believe in You

Hello!  It's Lisa here, and I am back with another unicorn card this week, I can't help it!!!  Those Rosie and Bernie stamp sets by Stamping Bella are just so darn cute and fun to color in!

See?!  Aren't they so sweet?!!!  I started by stamping them in the center of my panel and then I colored them in with various Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added a few sparkles and a sentiment from the Newton's Nook Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set.  I wanted to draw more attention so I diecut a heart from the center  of the image and then laid it back in.  For a final pop I adhered my panel onto a mix of papers from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my post.  Have you been by the Crafty Doodle Chick Store lately?  There are some pretty awesome new goodies!  Did you notice that Flora and Fauna Stamps are now in the house?  And new releases are always popping up, so keep checking back!

Keep off the Grass!

Hey, guys! Boy, do I have a fun card for you today! If you didn't know, and really how could you, but I LOVE gnomes. Ever since my aunt gave me a ceramic garden gnome that she created years ago, I have been in awe of their whimsical bearded goodness. So when I saw the latest release from Stamping Bella, I absolutely needed a couple of the gnome sets. And if my wallet allowed me to get them all, you know I would!

I made this basically one layer card using the Turf War set from Stamping Bella. I stamped down both the flamingo and gnome on a white panel and got to coloring. I used Copics from the images and ground, then switched to Distress Inks and a cloud stencil for the sky. Then I foam mounted the panel to a white card base. One of the best parts of this particular stamp set is that the sentiment is included in the image! Which means I don't have to worry about forgetting a sentiment until the very end and not knowing how to incorporate it. Do you folks ever do that?! It seems like that how it happens every time.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you found some inspiration to ink up some gnomes! Don't forget to stop by the shop to check out this stamp set and more crafty stuff! Have a great weekend!

You Make the World a Better Place

It's Lisa here today and I have a super sweet card to share with you today that uses the adorable new Rosie Loves Bernie by Stamping Bella.  As soon as I saw the new sets from their last release with Rosie and Bernie I just had to have them!  The little girl reminds me of my little girl and her fun imagination.  Take a peek at what I've created...

To create my card I started by stamping the image with Versafine Ink and then I watercolored the images and the background with a mix of Gansai Tambi watercolors and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. After it dried I diecut the the panel and adhered it to some pink cardstock.  A very clean and simple card, but I LOVE it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my project today, make sure you swing by the store and see all of the new Stamping Bella products you won't want to miss the cuteness!

Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl Charlotte Loves to Shop

I am super happy that Crafty Doodle Chick decided to stock Stamping Bella stamps - these have been a favorite of mine for a while now.
And Uptown Girl Charlotte Loves to Shop is no exception. Which girls don't like to shop? I know my teenage daughter daughter does and this image made the perfect card for her or one of her friends!

I wanted to keep this card quite simple both in color and design.
I colored the image using my zig clean color markers, adding some extra details here and there with a white gel roll pen. I then fussy cut it out - although you can buy the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment that came with the image - again perfect for a teenagers card - onto the white cardstock background using MFT Extreme Black ink, and added some red patterned cardstock to the base.
I used a scalloped border die to cut the edge to add a little more interest.
Some bakers twine and enamel dots finished the card off.

I then popped this panel up onto the card base using fun foam for a little dimension.

A very easy, CAS style card.

You'll find these products in the Crafty Doodle Chick store:

Unleash

Hello Crafty Doodle Chick Friends!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards to share a fun card with you!!

I used the Born to Sparkle stamp set and coordinating Sparkle Word Die by Sunny Studio Stamps for this card:
As I mentioned with my last card I created with this set, I love all the endless possibilities with this set!  So many sentiments you can create!  I love it!!

I created my background using some Distress Oxide Inks!  I then used the tiny images in the Born to Sparkle stamp set to create my 'sparkly' background!!   I used some shimmery inks and Distress Oxide Inks!  I also used some shimmery mist after I was done creating the background to add more shimmer!

I die cut the Sparkle Word Die a few times from white cardstock and layered them together.  I then die cut it once from silver sparkly paper and added it to the top!  A great way to give the die cut some dimension!!

Celebrate

Hey, everyone! Kevin back again sharing a super fun celebratory card today! I absolutely love the new Birdie Brown from My Favorite Things and I thought I would share this card featuring them with you! Check it out-

I started by stamping my favorite little rabbit from the Bubble Over with Joy then coloring it in with Copics. I used the matching dies to cut it out along with a clustering of bubbles. I also used dies to cut out a frame and large "Celebrate", but you could use the awesome "hooray" die as well, all from MFT. I added an ink blended background to the frame and added it to a card base that I stamped and white heat embossed.

This card is a little busier, or more colorful, than my usual but I hope you guys enjoy it. Make sure to stop by the shop to pick up these goodies and more!

Sparkle!

Hi!  It's Lisa here and today I am going totally sparkly on you!  And maybe a bit too cloud happy, but when stamping a Unicorn scene I think whimsy and fun are totally called for...

I love the Believe in Unicorns Stamp Set by Newton's Nook, not just for the super cute unicorns, but for the sentiments too!  To create this fun card I started by stamping my unicorn in the center of a white panel.  After I colored it in I stamped and cut out a mask from sticky tape.  I then grabbed the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil and went to town with several Distress Oxide Inks.  I was having some much fun with the stencil that I think I got a little carried away making clouds lol.  Next, it was time to add a little sparkle by embossing several "sparkle" images ( I'm not sure if the technical term for these are sparkle images, but it's all I could come up with :) ) with glitter embossing powder, and finally embossing my sentiment with gold embossing powder.  After I die cut my panel I adhered it to a fun sheet of rainbow patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Paper Pack, because you can't have a unicorn without a rainbow right?!

Ohhhh... look at that pretty shine!  Any who, that does it for me today!  Make sure you stop by the Crafty Doodle Chick Store and save 10% on some Altenew today by using code: SPRING10  You have until the end of today 3-16-18 to use it! woot woot!

Happy Birthday

Hello Crafty Doodle Chick Friends!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards to share a cute card with you!!

I used the fun Birthday Balloon stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps to create a fun CAS birthday card!!

I started by creating my fun pink card base!  I get so use to always creating white card bases that I thought it would be fun to create a colored one for this special card!!

I then created a white layer slightly smaller then the base.  I then grabbed some alphabet dies and die cut my daughter's name from the layer!  This then allowed me to stamp my 'Happy' and 'birthday' sentiment from the Birthday Balloon stamp set!  As I wanted the bottom of the 'y' in birthday to fall in the middle of my die cut v!
I then stamped my pretty pink balloon!!  As well as the bow!  The string from the 'y' to the balloon was created with a black marker and my ruler!

I finished my shaker part of the card and adhered it to my base!

I finished the card by adding some fun stars!

More Birthday Chicks

Okay, I'm not promising this will be my last post using the BB Birthday Chicks from MFT, but I will try to find something else to feed my hunger for Birdie Brown critter stamps. And I think that craving will be fulfilled by the latest and greatest- Bubble Over with Joy. Anyways, here's my project fro today-

This time I started by stamping what I usually forget about- the sentiments. I used a gradient of purple Distress Inks to create a cluster of birthday greetings. Then I added the sentiment panel to an inked up card base. I used the same purple inks to create it. As for the little birdies, I tried some no line coloring. I really love how it turned out, it can still get better but I really like the look of no line coloring. The only big complaint I have about it is the eyes. Of course, they disappeared. So I drew them back in with a black glaze pen and white gel pen. It sort of worked, they just look so beady and creepy to me. I finally caved and got the dies for this set because I use it so much,so I cut them out and added them to the card using foam squares. I really like how this turned out. It's not my usual style but I really like it! What do you think?!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to head over to the shop to check out the latest goodies!!Have a great weekend!

Watercolor Stress Relief

Hi! It's Lisa back today, and this time I'm sharing a small way that I unwind during a busy week.  Right now I'm planning my daughter's 7th Birthday Tea Party, and while there are only 7 girls coming (totally coincidental), there is so much work to go into hosting a party at home.  Needless to say I've been super busy and stressed, and a favorite way for me to just chill out for a bit is to water color.  Altenew stamps are usually a go to for me when I'm wanting to water color as they have so many dreamy floral images just begging me to color in...

The set I've used is the Persian Motifs, this is probably my top floral stamp set because of the details and unique designs.  And I figured while I was using my favorite set I might as well use my favorite color: blue!  I started by heat embossing my images on a piece of Bristol Cardstock, and then I used a mix of Zig Color Clean Real Brush markers to color everything including my background.  Once the panel dried I adhered it with foam adhesive to a sheet of patterned striped paper from the My Favorite Things Black and White Stripes Paper Pad.  Finally, I heat embossed a sentiment in white.

So what crafty things do you like to do to help you destress?  I would love to hear about it in the comments below!  Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting today.  Don't forget to see the new goodies that are always popping into the store!

Happy Crafting!

Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up

Hi! I saw this stamp set from Lawn Fawn and just knew I had to have it! There is so much inspiration out there, I felt I just had to make a slider card.

I stamped out all of the images from the set and decided to color them in nice bright colors using my prismacolor pencils. I then used the coordinating Beam Me Up Lawn Cuts to die cut them out.

For the background I used chipped sapphire and wilted violet distress inks in patches, and then gently inked some black soot distress ink over the top - so that you could still see a hint of the colors underneath. I then spritzed it with water, left it for 10 seconds and dabbed the water off with my kitchen paper. I love the look it leaves behind - almost starry.

I decided I wanted my little alien to be 'beamed up' into the spaceship and so made this into a slider card. I used Lawn Fawn's 'Slide on over' die to cut out the hole in the front of the card for the slider channel - remember to add the cut out piece to the slider so the design and color would match. You also need to remember to color the same behind the slider piece, so that when it is pulled up it is not just white cardstock behind it. I added the little 'pull' stamp from Lawn Fawn's 'Push Here' stamp set (covering the 'here' part of the stamp as it wouldn't fit!), on the top of the slider so that the recipient knows that it is an interactive card.

I love how this turned out - super cute!
I stamped the 'beam' from the set using Versamark Watermark ink and then heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn's new 'Glow in the Dark' embossing powder - super fun!
I used some grassy edge border dies and Doddlebug Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot papers for the grass and banners. The sentiments are from the Beam Me Up stamp set, and then a few sequins finish the card off!
