Enjoy The Little Things

Happy Thursday, Crafty Doodle Friends!  Life got in the way of my crafting and well, you get it!  Anywho, I'm back with some new finds at CraftyDoodleChick.com.  If you haven't heard about Picket Fence Stamps... OMG!  These beautiful and whimsically drawn stamp images are just precious.  I just picked up BFF Girl Avery and love how cute she looks!

For this card, I used one of my favorite techniques... stamping on printed paper.  Follow allow to see how this all came about.

I first cut a 3.75" x 5" piece of printed paper.  I had some beige newsprint type paper in my scrap pile that I used for this card.

Next, I stamped BFF Girl using my Misti.  Because her dress is a solid, the Misti allows you to stamp several times without having to try to align your stamp each time.  After stamping her in black, I stamped over the image in brown as well to soften the lines and color.

Then the fun begins.  I colored this cutie with Copics and used a white pencil to fill in her collar.  I even colored her dress to give it a hint of color.

From here, it's smooth sailing.  I used the Honey Bee Stamp set "Enjoy" to stamp the large enjoy sentiment.  Then I stamped some of the smaller words on a white strip and trimmed them into blocks.  I used Scrapbook Adhesive's 3D Adhesive Foam Squares to pop up the strips under the word Enjoy.  And for a little "extra" I used a white gel pen to give the word "enjoy" some shine.

I hope you found this card fun and easy to make.  I encourage you to look at some of your patterned paper for your next card.  Check out the new stamps, dies and more at CraftyDoodleChick.com and

Just a Note...

Hello!  I missed you all last week!  I was super busy between work, the kids soccer, gymnastics, lacrosse, softball, and to top it off my youngest made her First Communion.  Whew!  Getting crafty had to wait a little bit, but this week I was able to make some time and get inky!

Today's card features the Altenew Wonderland Stamp and Stencil Set.  I am really in love with the possibilities and techniques the stencil aspect to this set provides.  This card was easy to create and would be great for making multiple gift sets in various colors too...

To create this card I started by stamping the flowers and sentiment onto a panel of white cardstock.  I then adhered the matching stencils over the flowers and used a mix of fun bright Distress Oxide and Distress Inks to blend together.  I also added a few splashes of water and grey ink.  Personally I needed some shine to this card, so I used some chunky glitter along the tops of the flowers.  Once everything was dry I adhered it to a white cardstock base and viola!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!  I hope I've inspired you to try these new stamp and stencil sets, and don't forget to share what you're making over in our Facebook group!

Happy Crafting!
