Proud of You

Hello crafty friends!  It is Lisa here again, and I'm hoping today's card lifts everyone's spirits.  As many of you might already know Altenew is one of my favorite stamp companies for sentiments and and floral designs, and recently they released a new set called Kind Words that has some pretty amazing and uplifting sentiments.

To create this card I started by playing with various alcohol inks onto Yupo cardstock.  Once the panel was dry I heat embossed the large star image from the stamp set with some Glitter Gold Embossing Powder.  I then stamped and embossed a sentiment with White embossing Powder.  I am constantly telling my kids how proud I am of them, and I don't think anyone can hear those words too much so this note will probably go in one of their lunches.

Here's another look at the star image...

I love the way they blend into the background with the shimmer of real stars...
Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Hello Summer

Hi! Kerys from Scrappinnhappy here today with a clean and simple card using Neat & Tangled 'Hello Summer' stamp set.
This stamp set is available from the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I stamped the'background' sentiment group and the sun in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then used abandoned coral, spiced marmalade and squeezed lemonade inks to blend the background. I used a kitchen towel to wipe any excess ink off the heat embossing.

I stamped the hello summer onto the panel using black ink and then wrapped some bakers twine around the panel.

This panel was then adhered onto a fun foam panel and then onto a standard A2 white card base.

A quick and easy card anyone can make!

Let it Snow... With Penny Black

Hi friends! TGIF!!!  Lisa here today, and I have a super cute and easy card to share with you today that features some adorable friends from the Penny Black stamp set Merry Delight.

To create this card I started by stamping my snowman and dog along the bottom of Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock.  I then colored I'm my images and trimmed only the top half of the images to layer the panel onto patterned paper.  My snowy background is from the new Lawn Fawn Petite Papers 6 x 6 Paper Pad: Really Rainbow Christmas.  I then stamped my sentiment three times, trimmed it out and adhered them at various angles onto the background.  For a finishing touch I used Nuvo glitter dots to create the look of falling snow.

Thanks so much for popping in, make sure you check out all of the new Penny Black that has been added to the store recently!  So many gorgeous products that would be perfect for Holiday cards.

Happy Holidays

Hi! Kerys from Scrappinnhappy here today with a mixture of Avery Elle and MFT goodness!
These stamps and dies are available from the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I stamped the images from Avery Elle's 'A Merry Little Christmas' stamp set and colored them in using my prismacolor pencils. I then used my Scan'n Cut to cut them out.

I die cut the photo frame using Avery Elle's 'Photo Mat' die and adhered the images inside and out of the frame. I tied a bow around the frame using some twine from my stash.

I die cut a variety of snowflakes using MFT's 'Layered Snowflakes' die-namic and adhered them to a white panel for a simple background. I popped up the photo frame on pop dots and added to the snowflake panel.

I stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle's 'Polar Peek-a-boo Pals' stamp set. I used Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then die cut this into a banner and popped it up on foam dots.

This panel was then adhered to a standard A2 top folding white card base.

Vintage Feel

Hi friends! TGIF!!!  It's Lisa here with you today and I'm playing with old and new Altenew to create a vintage look.  To be honest I started this card by just playing around with a few products and seeing what happened, and lucky me it all turned out...

To create this card I started by stamping a floral image from the Persian Motifs stamp set with Versafine ink onto watercolor cardstock.  Next, I used my Altenew Watercolor set to paint the image and set it to the side to dry.  Once it was dry I ran it through my diecutting machine with the Cross Stitch Canvas Die, and I LOVE it!  Just adding those pierced holes really changed the entire look.  I then added some distress ink to the edges and adhered it to some patterned paper.

I hope I've inspired you to just play around with your products and mix and match things to see what you get.  Not only is it fun to try new things, but you might surprise yourself with the results.
Happy Crafting!

Christmas Cross Stitch Tags

Hi! Kerys from Scrappinnhappy here on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with one of my favorite brands -  My Favorite Things! Aside from card making, I love to cross stitch - and this Cross Stitch Tag die-namic combines both of my hobbies!

This die set is available from the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I found these patterns on Pinterest and they were super quick and easy to stitch.

I used the die-namic to cut out the papers at the tops of the tags and added a greeting from a Doodlebug paper pack.

I finished the tags off with some ribbon, twine and bells from my stash.

Super cute and easy to make! I have lots more patterns to work on for Christmas!

Have a Magical Day with Lawn Fawn

Who is still giddy over the newest Lawn Fawn release?!  ME!!!! I LOVED so much of it I had a hard time choosing... but today I've gone whimsical and made my inner rainbow loving heart happy by creating this...

Isn't it just too cute?!?!?!  To create my card I used the Say What Christmas Critters Stamp Set, the Really Rainbow Christmas Petite Paper Pack,  and the Reveal Wheel Die Cut Set with the Shooting Star Add-on.  For extra fun I used glitter cardstock and glitter pens.

I started this card by stamping the unicorn, speech bubble and sentiment onto cardstock, trimmed them out and set them to the side.  I then covered the front of my card with patterned paper and used other patterned paper to cut the Reveal Wheel parts from.  I also added a snowy hill for my unicorn to sit on.  To create the changing colored glitter on my reveal wheel I actually cut that circle piece 5 times, one white and one of each colored glitter cardstock.  I then trimmed the glitter paper into four pieces, and adhered the pieces onto the white wheel.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you pop in the store and check out the new products that are always being added!  Plus grab some of this new Lawn Fawn before it's gone!
Happy Crafting!

Warm Wishes

Hi! Kerys here from Scrappinnhappy today with one of my favorite brands -  Lawn Fawn! I love this new stamp set - Thanks a Latte - perfect for the coffee lover that I am!
This stamp set, dies and paper are all available from the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I stamped the coffee cups onto Lawn papers - perfectly plaid winter and really rainbow christmas paper packs - and die cut them out using the matching dies.
I also stamped out the different elements for the drinks - like the cream, marshmallows, snowflakes and coffee insert. Again i cut these out with matching dies. The coffee insert I fussy cut and cut slits into one for the marshmallows to sit.

I used the new Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Windows die set to cut out the window from the blue striped paper and mounted it onto the white snowflake paper. Both of these papers are from the Really Rainbow Christmas paper pad.

I stamped the sentiment from the Thanks a Latte stamp set directly onto the background and adhered the coffee cups.

I finished the card off with some white tickles for the cream, marshmallows and snowflakes, and some Doodlebug tiny heart shape sprinkles.

It was then all adhered onto a standard A2 white side folding card base.
