Hello! It's Lisa here today and I'm popping in with a card that I've made specifically with my son in mind. He is a book-a-holic, and that is not an exaggeration by any means... he literally can not go anywhere without a book by his side. He also happens to be an animal lover, so the Gerda Steiner On the Bookshelf stamp set was exactly what I used...
To create my card I started off by masking and inking a circular background with Distress Oxide Ink. I then stamped my chosen images onto Spectrum noir Ultra Smooth Yardstick and colored my images in with a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers. Once the images were colored I fussy cut them out and adhered them onto the front of the inked circle. To add interest to the card I spaced the sentiment above and below the stamped scene at an angle. This also helps to keep the recipients eyes moving across the card, rather than focusing on just what is in the middle. The final touch was made with a few matching enamel dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll get a chance to check out the other cute Gerda Steiner Stamps available in the store.
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
