Quick and Bold

Hi friends!  It's Lisa here today and I have a bright and bold card to share with all of you today.  I also have a secret to share... I LOVE floral stamps.... ok well that's probably not a secret, but by love I mean they are totally one of my weaknesses.  And Altenew creates some of the best floral images.  But I don't always want to, or have the time, to color them in.  Sad, I know.  Never fear though, because I have a quick and easy technique that can add splashes of color to your images in as little as one to two minutes!

There are lots of different mediums to use the "smooshing" technique, as I so loving refer to it as, with that will yield many results.  When I wanting a more vivid and bold color scheme I like to use Spray mists.  The specific ones I have used here are the Dylusions Ink Sprays.  I sprayed a few select colors onto a piece of old plastic packaging, I then added a few sprays of water and let the colors blend slightly on the plastic before smooshing them onto my stamped panel.  Another tip, is that sometimes if you are wanting a more controlled application of colors then you can apply the panel to the plastic, letting you put the part of the paper you want color on in the exact color you are wanting.

For this particular project I've used the Altenew Beautiful Quotes and the Striped Florals Stamp Sets. To finish the card off I used a scrap strip of paper from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Petite Paper pack, and a few rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
Lisa
